Holden Elected Hardwood Federation Chairman of the Board

The Hardwood Federation is pleased to announce that Rick Holden, Chief Operating Officer of Derr Flooring Company in Willow Grove, PA has been elected President of the Hardwood Federation, the industry’s federal policy advocate in Washington, D.C.

 

“We are thrilled to work with Rick in his new role as President of the Federation Board,” said Executive Director Dana Lee Cole.  “Rick brings a wealth of experience to the board, both as a businessman with extensive knowledge of all aspects of the hardwood industry and as an advocate for the industry on Capitol Hill.  He understands the business and how federal laws and policies impact that business.”  Holden is also the Past-President of the National Wood Flooring Association.  Rick has previously served on Hardwood Federation boards as both a member and as the Vice President of the PAC Committee.

 

Holden represents the National Wood Flooring Association on the Hardwood Federation Board.  Representatives of Appalachian Hardwood Lumber Industries, Decorative Hardwood Association, the Hardwood Manufacturers Association, the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen’s Association, the Lake States Lumber Association, the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association, and the National Hardwood Lumber Association also sit on the Hardwood Federation Board.

 

The Hardwood Federation is the umbrella organization that serves as the voice in Washington, D.C. for the United States hardwood industry representing 27 national, regional, state, and local trade associations that represent hardwood businesses across the country.  The Federation monitors legislative issues that will impact our industry and lobbies Congress, the Administration and U.S. agencies and departments on behalf of U.S. hardwood businesses across the country.
