Mullican Flooring

Back in 1985, B A Mullican started manufacturing ¾” solid unfinished Oak flooring at a plant in West Virginia. He wanted to utilize lumber coming from the Appalachian Mountains, which are known to produce hardwood lumber of high quality, consistent grain and color. One of his first calls was to Chester Derr, to see if he would be interested in buying flooring from this new company. The first order was for 20 truckloads and has grown dynamically over the last 30 years to now include prefinished solid and prefinished engineered products. Today, Derr Flooring Co inventories the vast majority of the prefinished items as well as Mullican having sufficient stock to fill backorders on Derr’s weekly shipments. Corporately located in rural east Tennessee, Mullican brings a down to earth way of doing business. They believe in handshake agreements and a hands on approach to producing excellent quality flooring.
